Intertrader now offers trading on Bitcoin

Speculate on the value of Bitcoin either via spread betting or CFD trading,
on the web platform or MT4

Spread betting and CFD provider Intertrader has introduced trading on the price of Bitcoin, the digital cryptocurrency.
Traders can now speculate on the value of Bitcoin, without the need to directly purchase any of the cryptocurrency or create a Bitcoin wallet. This represents a straightforward and secure way to trade the currency.
Trading Bitcoin as a spread bet or CFD also has the key advantage of enabling the trader to take a short position and trade a fall in value, should they believe the Bitcoin bubble is set to burst.
Bitcoin is offered against its value in US dollars, either as a spread bet or a CFD, on the Intertrader web platform or MT4. The dealing spread is as low as 7.5 points, with a margin requirement of 7% to open a position.

Bitcoin: a volatile market

Bitcoin’s value broke through the $2000 barrier in May this year and is fast closing on $3000. However the cryptocurrency has been exceptionally volatile since its creation in 2009. Changes in global regulation that call the future of the currency into question can and have caused large and sudden shifts in value.
Intertrader now enables traders to speculate on this inherent volatility, with the comfort of knowing the firm takes a 100% market-neutral execution.
Shai Heffetz, Managing Director of Intertrader Ltd, commented: ‘Since the US dropped the gold standard, the value of any international currencies lies solely in the perception of that value. Bitcoin is no different. Just as its price has soared in recent times, so it can plummet if the market stops believing in its value. Our new Bitcoin product gives traders a way to take their own view on this fascinating market.’
Spread betting and CFD trading are leveraged products and as such carry a high level of risk to your capital which can result in losses greater than your initial deposit. These products may not be suitable for all investors. CFDs are not suitable for pension building and income. Ensure you fully understand all risks involved and seek independent advice if necessary.
