HOLIDAY TRADING HOURS
DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME
Please note that Daylight Saving Time (DST) begins in the US on Sunday 12 March. US-traded markets will therefore temporarily be trading one hour earlier than our published UK trading times.
- On 12 and 19 March, trading begins one hour earlier at 9pm UK time
- On 17 and 24 March, trading closes one hour earlier at 9pm UK time
This will continue for two weeks until Sunday 26 March when DST begins in Europe, and we revert to our normal trading hours for US-traded markets.
This temporary adjustment affects the following markets:
- US indices: breaks are an hour earlier than published
- UK 100, Germany 30 and Asian indices: breaks an hour earlier
- Australia 200: break changes to 20.00 – 22.50 (then to 21.00 – 23.50 for one week, then to 22.00 – 23.50 from 2 April)
- US equities: open and close one hour earlier
- Gold and silver: breaks an hour earlier
- UK and US crude oil: breaks an hour earlier
- Copper and cotton: open and close one hour earlier
- Cocoa, coffee and sugar: close one hour earlier (local opening time pushed back an hour, keeping the UK opening time the same as published)
